My relationship with the Team at family-owned Melbourne Pools goes back to 2005, when I had the good fortune to buy a house with a pool they had been looking after for years. It was a very old pool with very old equipment and I had never owned a pool before - a recipe for disaster. Over the next few years Russell and his brothers patiently explained the subtle art of pool maintenance, never taking advantage of my ignorance and using their enormous experience to keep the old pool going. Then I bit the bullet and had them undertake a full pool renovation - new pipes, solar heating, pumps, catridge filter, chlorinator, switchboard, lights - the lot!
Russell's pricing and project management was clear and effective, his choice of equipment was faultless and Stuart and Jonathan were a joy to have on site - personable, resourceful, tidy, communicative and always reliable.
Just recently I called on them to find a leak - Stuart and (now) son Jonathan astounded me with their powers of detection, bringing a wealth of experience, intelligence and equipment - found and fixed the leak in an impossible location. They back their work and go above and beyond the usual level of integrity. When one of their subcontractors installed a faulty fitting which burst and caused damage years after the warranty had expired, they fixed it and contributed to the damage cost, even though the subcontractor was not interested - that is very rare, but typical of this family's attitude and principles. I have enjoyed my association with the good people at Melbourne Pools enormously and will always go back to them for any future work I might need. I unreservedly recommend them to anyone. The team at Melbourne Pools looked after my pool at our house in Hawthorn over many years.
It was a challenge; large pool, lots of trees constantly dropping leaves and debris into the pool. The Melb Pool team excelled over all those years with a dedicated attitude and a solution to all issues (and a patience that must have been sorely tested on occasions!)
I could not recommend them highly enough.
